KATHERINE A. ALBERTS

Ms. Alberts specializes in complex litigation involving both public entities and private companies.  Her practice includes cases involving general business disputes, securities and accounting fraud, products liability, employment, educational and other civil rights. Ms. Alberts has significant experience in all phases of litigation, including initial factual investigation, motions practice, discovery, and trial. Specifically, she has managed multi-phased discovery plans, conducted in-house factual investigations, taken and defended depositions of lay and expert witnesses, briefed and argued various motions before both state and federal courts, participated in mediations and arbitrations, and prepared witnesses, exhibits, and examinations for trial testimony.

Ms. Alberts is a Bay Area native.  She attended Carondelet High School and graduated from Stanford University in 1994.  In 1997, she received her Juris Doctorate with distinction from Emory University School of Law, where she also was elected to the Order of Coif.  Prior to joining Stubbs & Leone, she was an associate with Jones Day and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.  Ms. Alberts is a member of the State Bars of California and Georgia and admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in California, the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
