Ms. Top represents both private and public entities in employment matters, focusing her practice on defending employers against discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims. Ms. Top also counsels corporations, non-profit organizations, individuals, and educational institutions on a wide-range of employment issues including employee discipline and termination, wage and hour issues, misconduct investigations, and family and medical leaves. In addition, Ms. Top represents businesses who have been accused of failing to conform their facilities to state and federal disability laws.

Ms. Top has enjoyed an extensive law and motion practice and has obtained summary judgment in numerous cases for public and private employers. Ms. Top defends employers in state and federal court, including through appeal, and has successfully co-chaired several state court trials.

Ms. Top graduated from Miami University in 1993, with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she served on the editorial board of Law Review. Prior to joining Stubbs & Leone, she was an associate in the Employment Group at Gordon & Rees. Ms. Top is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California.
